This is a fun trail for the entire family to enjoy... and the view at the end of the trail is spectacular! Smaller children, teens, and adults
will enjoy this trail. At only one mile in length, this is a good
starter trail. As the trail slowly climbs, varied scenery meets the
sightseer at every turn. The hiker will encounter a sample of many
of the types of hikes in the park. The trail traverses the edge of
small steep canyons, maneuvers over slick rock formations, and goes under
a small alcove with an active spring. The reward for taking
this trek is obvious for those who reach the end of the trail. Below
is south-eastern Zion Canyon in all its glory, with towering peaks
in the background and to the left and right. Click through the next
three pages for a taste of what this hike looks like. |
