Half Dome Trail

This is the trail right above Nevada Falls.  These hikers are heading back towards the Yosemite Valley after a successful trek to the top of Half Dome.

 Water plunges over the top of Nevada Falls.

These pools on the Merced River at the top of Nevada Falls are the final destination for many day hikers.  It's also a favorite resting place for those who are continuing on to Half Dome and other high country destinations.   Even a quick wade into the cool water is refreshing.  This is the best place on the hike to reload your water bottles, assuming  you have a filtering devise.  You can see hikers in the background continuing on up the trail towards Half Dome.
