Bridalveil Falls in Winter |
|
Bridalveil Fall is 620 feet tall and
flows year round, but of course it roars with it's greatest force in the
spring when snow melt is the heaviest. The primary source of
Bridalveil Falls is Ostrander Lake, about 10 miles south of the waterfall
which accounts for it's year-round flow. Sometimes, when the wind is
really blowing, the waterfall will appear to be falling sideways. When
the water flow is light, the falls sometimes don't even reach the ground. |

The heavily used, short, paved, walkway to the foot of the falls ends here.
During a good portion of the year, visitors are sprayed with a heavy mist
from Bridalveil Falls. |

Bridalveil Creek above the waterfall is seen by few park visitors. This
