Timpanogos Cave

American Fork Canyon & Timpanogos Visitor Center

The river flows through the bottom of American Fork Canyon.  The canyon bottom, with its lush vegetation provides a respite from the heat of the sun.  There is a short nature trail, and two picnic areas on the canyon floor.

Timpanogos Cave Visitor Center

Along the trail to the cave you will find seven geological formations.  There are plaques along the trail labeling each type.  The sign above lists and shows each type of formation.
