The peaceful woodland Yanaguana Trail is a short river walk where you can encounter part of the original channel of the San Antonio River. Yanaguana is the Chohuiltecan peoples' word for "refreshing waters". Its consistent water supply allowed early San Antonio to exist. The 1/3 mile trail, which starts behind the mission, explores an environment reminiscent of the earliest days of Mission San Juan. |
