Saguaro National Park is home to the most recognizable cactus in the
world, the stately saguaro. Visitors are fascinated by these desert
giants. With an average life span of 150 years, a mature saguaro may
grow to a height of 50 feet and weigh over 10 tons.
Most visitors to Saguaro
National Park choose a unhurried drive on one of our scenic loop drives;
others explore the park on one of our many trails. There are over
150 miles of hiking trails, ranging from flat and easy walks in the
Sonoran Desert to steep and difficult hikes into the Rincon Mountains.
Park guests of every ability have a place to get out of the car and
explore. |
