Kule Koklo, Bear Valley

Kule Koklo, reconstructed Costal Miwok
village |
 |
 |
| The cultural history of Point Reyes goes back around
5,000 years to the Coast Miwok Indians who were the first human
inhabitants of the Peninsula. Over 120 known village sites exist
within the park. Near the Bear Valley visitor center is a short,
shaded trail leading to Kule Loklo. Kule Loklo is reconstructed
example of how a Miwok village would have looked 200 years ago. |
