Quinault Rain Forest

The Quinault Rain Forest under story consists of ferns, devil’s club, hanging curtains of moss, Indian-Plum, Blueberry, Salmonberry, Thimbleberry, and Blackberry.  For added color, a variety of wild flowers including Indian paintbrush, Bear grass, twisted-stalk, skunk-cabbage, trillium, bleeding heart, and bunchberry can be seen.  The forest floor’s covering is sparsely strewn with mushrooms and lichens that abound in this damp ecosystem.
