Blast zone - notice all the fallen trees

This is the "Standing Dead" area.  The blast was not quite powerful enough to knock down the trees, but it was fast enough and hot enough to strip the trees of their bark, leaves and many of their branches.  This photo was taken along the border of the "Standing Dead" zone.  You can see a fairly abrupt line where the zone ends and live trees survived.
