The Pearl Harbor attack increased hostility towards Japanese Americans. As wartime hysteria intensified, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 causing over 120,000 West Coast people of Japanese ancestry to leave their homes, jobs, and lives behind. They were forced to move to one of ten Internment Camps. This formed the single largest forced relocation in U.S. history. Minidoka is the story of one of those Camps. |
