Hovenweep National Monument

Boulder House (above) is separated from the canyon rim.  Like many of the towers at Hovenweep, it is located near a spring.  Each floor was built upward from the inside, one floor at a time.  Hand-holds that were pecked into the boulder below the entrance are still visable today..
