The entrance road for McKittrick canyon is 7 miles east of the Park Headquarters on U.S. highway 62/180. The Contact Station features outdoor exhibits and slide program on local area history, geology, and natural resources of the canyon. |

Many hikers enjoy the McKittrick Canyon Nature Trail, or a slightly longer day hike into McKittrick Canyon itself. It's 4.8 miles round trip through the canyon to Pratt Lodge. Click here for a list and description of park trails (NPS site). |
