Hume Lake Dam was built to provide water for a flume that was used to float logs from the area down into the San Joaquin Valley in central California.  Hume history

Located in the middle of Giant Sequoia Nat'l Monument, Hume Lake Christian Camp is one of the nations premier Christian conference centers and youth camping experiences.  The Snack shop, operated by the camp is open to the general public as it the general store and gas station.               Visit the Hume Lake Christian Camp website
