Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument borders Grand Canyon National
Park and includes over one million acres of public land
(Location
& Maps).
The area encompasses mountains, deep canyons, and a portion of the
Shivwits Plateau. The are provides habitat for bighorn sheep,
raptors, migratory birds, pronghorn, and many other birds, mammals, and
reptiles.
